Elite Monsters[ | ]
Elite monsters can be identified by their red tint and flame on the Overworld. Shots from the Wagon do not stun Elites.
They are in different ways more difficult to defeat than normal monsters. Insane Mode affects their difficulty.
Once recruited, they lose their elite status. They do however, retain their red color.
They can be found in form of mushrooms, humans, pixies, gorgons, mascots, archers and cyclops (if I'm correct is rare, but frequent in that one maze close to the spooky area) for the world map. In battle with elites, such as in the Forest of Rotten Delights (in battle), sometimes elite unicorns will spawn.
