Formatting and Templates

I don't know how to format very well yet. I invite more wiki-savvy people to work on these. I'd like to add a simple picture to each section in Units, like so http://i.imgur.com/NKSsF0j.png. Also Template:Units could use some love, I was thinking of something like http://i.imgur.com/gnCtysx.png. --Pomodorosan (talk) 14:44, 18 January 2017 (UTC)

Unit template

Should units maybe have a listing for "Strong against"/"Weak against"?

So that you would have:

Race: Mushroom

Resistance: Toxic

Vulnerability: Mallet

Strong Against: Cupcake,Mascot

Weak Against: Zombie

Introduction

Now that the game is released, this wiki should be worked on. Should list basic stats of each unit, all of their mechanics, strengths, weaknesses and synergies. Use the default look for unit pages. All types and variants of weapons... Strategy pages.. Should rename pages to singular (ie Wraiths -> Wraith).. What else? --Pomodorosan (talk) 06:25, 16 January 2017 (UTC)

Feel free to create a roadmap for this wiki! Encredechine (talk) 08:08, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
I tried to mold the skeleton of the wiki, with generic and specific pages. Would need a template for unit pages, better format for all pages with a better style for the main introduction text, separators, and a trivia section. Pictures and refined text for all mechanics. Would like to change the "Articles" on the front page from "Enemies" to "Units", "Weapons" to "Equipment". What to do with Gameplay? There's a "Mechanics" category. --Pomodorosan (talk) 21:16, 16 January 2017 (UTC)
Would need a page to list mechanics such as "flying", "bleeding" idk, "helmet" "dodge" "unliving units" --Pomodorosan (talk) 05:21, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
You can always create new pages or categories and you simply can move a page and rename (click on MORE in the vector tab menu) it, just don't forget to relink it. If there is no "gameplay" but mechanics, just rename the page. For changes on the main page, I'd recommend, that you create an editcopy of it and work from that. When you are happy with the result, copy the content to the real main page and you should be done (I'm not married to the layout as it is now!). Falsely set <div></div> can make our footer go nuts, so if something seems very odd, this is one of the first things you should be looking for.

You can always have a look at our other Gamepedia Wikis and get inspired. For templates - well, we have some standard ones like the infobox template, the navigation box and etc. If you need something especially created for a wiki, you always can ask around or have a look at our other Gamepedia Wikis or ask the staff (in that case me!) or talk with the other users on the Gamepedia Slack channel! Please just refer from copying templates from other Non-Gamepedia related wikis! Thanks! Encredechine (talk) 11:50, 17 January 2017 (UTC)
